Office 2016 is available to be downloaded and installed on up to five devices on MACs or Off-Campus Windows PCs

Here's a time-saver you'll really like: open a PDF in Word on your desktop, and edit content – like paragraphs, lists, and tables – as if you created them in Word. And you can save them as a PDF or Word document.

It's easier than ever to find the feature you need. Just type what you want to do in the intelligent "Tell me what you want to do" search box, and Word will take you to the command you're looking for.

As you look at different configurations, Excel learns and recognizes your pattern and auto-completes the remaining data for you. No formulas or macros required. The Tell Me search feature guides you to the feature commands you need to get the results you are looking for.

One Drive

This is a pre-installed Windows 10 based product, enabling your documents and photos to be shared to One Drive automatically. It has features such as:

  • Connected
    Sync your files from your PC or Mac and access them from your favorite browser or mobile device.
  • OneDrive for Collaboration
    OneDrive for Business is available to all Downstate employees and students as part of Office 365. After login to https://portal.office.com on a browser, OneDrive can be accessed from everywhere and anytime. Files can be uploaded and download between a computer and OneDrive cloud folders, and can be shared with other people.

    Please note the sync option using the app for OneDrive for Business only made available to domain joined computers. Apple devices (include Mac and iOS devices) and Android handhelds are exceptions of this role.
  • OneDrive for data storage and recovery
    All documents uploaded to OneDrive will be protected from PC hard drive failure. To take advantage of this, a OneDrive app will be installed on a domain jointed office PC which is usually dedicated to a single user. Files in the following folders will be automatically saved in OneDrive:

    - Documents
    - Desktop
    - Favorites

    To ensure all files are protected, the user is responsible to save all files in the “Documents” folder and copy them there if they are not there yet. In a case of a hard drive failure, files in the “Documents” folder will be automatically downloaded from OneDrive to the new replacement hard drive. Any files not in this folder will be lost potentially unless copies are made on other medias.
  • Secure
    Protect your company data with advanced encryption, compliance, and security features.
