Antivirus Software for Macintosh OS X 10.1.5 to 10.2
Instructions for Symantec AntiVirus,
Version 9
Please check following system requirements. An "admin" password will be needed.
- Macintosh OS X version 10.1.5 and below 10.3
- G3 processor or higher
- 128 MB of RAM - minimum
- 80 MB of hard disk space
Before installing, please save and close all documents and data files.
- Start any internet browser, like Safari, Netscape, etc.
- Download Installation package.
- Double click to expand, and a "nav9-mx1" folder will be created in same location where the package was downloaded.
- Double click "NAV Installer-1.pkg" to launch installation, then continue with default choices. Let system restart when it suggests to do so.
- Double click "NAV Installer-2" to launch second part of package to complete installation.
- Run "LiveUpdate" from Applications/SymantecAntivirus folder on local hard drive. Then click "Update Everything Now" button.
- Click "Restart" after everything is updated.
