Microsoft Software Products

SUNY Downstate Medical Center has entered into a volume licensing agreement with the Microsoft Corporation. This agreement enables Downstate faculty and staff to license Microsoft software products at a substantial discount.

SUNY Downstate has been given a universal product key for all products available under this agreement. After you purchase the license for the software, the Customer Service Group (Help Desk) will install it on your computer using this product key (required to prevent unauthorized use).

How to Order Discounted Software

Fill out a purchase requisition (Research Foundation or State) and submit it to your purchasing agent. The following information is required on the requisition:
- Vendor: Hewlett Packard
- Contract: SUNY Downstate Microsoft Select Agreement
For each of the products you wish to order include:
1. The HP item number.
2. The number of licenses you wish to order.
Once you have received a valid purchase order (Research Foundation or State):
1. Call the Customer Support Group (Help Desk) at (718) 270-HELP.
2. They will make an appointment to install the software at a time convenient for you.
3. You will need to provide them with a copy of the purchase order (not the requisition) at the time of installation.
