Windows Vista Roll Out Plan

To our user community:

Microsoft has released the next version of their Operating System (Vista). This is a major change in the Windows Operating system. At the present time SUNY Downstate does not support Vista. We are in the process of evaluating this new Operating System. We are testing all applications currently supported by the Information Services department to ensure full compatibility. Please check the link below for a list of all systems and or applications supported by our Information Services department.

When we are confident that Vista is fully compatible with our environment we will begin to roll it out to the campus community. Until that time please do not purchase any computers with Microsoft Vista Operating system. We will update you when more information is available.
